2 Ways to Build a Mailing List Fast With Free Reports

1. Offer your report in exchange for an opt-in

After a person signs up to receive your free report, you can send them to a one time offer page where you can make some money on one of your products or an affiliate product. Many people, since they are already interested in your subject, will take you up on this offer but even if they don't buy right then, you can follow up with more offers since you now have their contact information.

The way to get the most people to opt in to your list is to make sure your free report is about a topic that they have great interest in...they feel they just have to have it and it's free so it's an easy decision to get it. Believe it or not, you have to sell free stuff just the same as if it were a paid for product so make sure you write some persuasive copy on your opt in page to draw them in and make them want your free report.

2. Place a link back to your opt-in page report

This is a technique that has been used quite successfully. You let people download your report without requiring them to opt-in first. Inside your eBook you'll want to include a link back to one of your websites where people can then sign-up to your list.

The reason why this method can be so effective is that it firstly builds up some trust with the visitor. People download your report, read it, like it, and then want to opt-in for more.

Since so many people are more cautious about giving out their email address, the fact that you are not requiring their contact information makes this an easy decision if the topic is one of interest to them. Your free report is a good way to build trust with a new visitor as long as you provide useful quality content.
